STREGA NONA STORIES

1) Tomie de Paola has a version, which is probably in your local library, called Strega Nona.
She sings a ditty to start the pot making spaghetti. She sings another ditty to stop the pot AND she blows it 3 kisses. Anthony heard the ditties but didn't see the kisses. So he can't stop the pot when he makes spaghetti, which he's never supposed to do. Village is filling up with spaghetti. Strega Nona returns just in time, stops the pot and makes Anthony eat all the spaghetti -- "The punishment must fit the crime."
