BALLERINA STORIES

1) Your 5 year old girls probably are going to be very familiar with the Angelina Ballerina stories by Holabird. I believe she's also on TV. Maybe you could tell the 1st story, letting them help you, then create an Angelina story together. The publisher even has a costume that bookstores & libraries borrow.

2) The ballerina story that popped into mind is easy and FUN! You'll find it in Arnold Lobel's Fables. It's the one about a camel who wants to be a dancer. You can really ham it up and put lots of participation in it. It's short which is probably just what you want for a slew of preschoolers. And you can practice with your "audience."

3) The Twelve Dancing Princesses is one of those good ole fairytales for all ages. You will find the text for this story at the SurLaLune site:
